I can has beta?

First off, I've been a terrible co-mod lately and I apologize. My nephew was diagonsed with Autism six or so months ago so things have been a little busy, and since I like nextdoor to my sister, I'm a convenient source of help.

Secondly (and the reason for the post), I am looking for some help. I am working on a fic. My first chapter fic. And of the people I normally go to fanfic help, one has fallen out of the fandom, one had no knowledge of the fandom, and it's for the third one... So, what I was hoping was for one (or even two, I'll be greedy) person(/people) to offer their services as a beta reader and help me flush out ideas. It wouldn't be right away, as I have so cleaning up to do (I decided to change tenses half way through X3) and I haven't had a chance to sit and do it yet.

If anyone is interested just leave a comment and and we can set things up.

I will first say that I don't have a lot of free time for my own projects, let alone other people's.

That being said, I'm a pretty good proof reader, if you want to shoot me something. If I like the storyline I'll be glad to help out more (within the confines of my schedule), but I will turn down intense involvement if the story doesn't do it for me.

Hope I didn't scare you off or anything, but I want to be up front about what I would be able to offer.

Hey, time is a precious thing. I totally understand. How about this, if nobody else is willing to do it and I polish up some more on my own, I'll check with you again and send it then.

Hey no problem. I just didn't want to commit to helping you, then have to back out for my own lack of time...I imagine that you know what it's like to have no time!
